Beat the heat.
Honest Fashion
Heat waves and the city, it could be a new Netflix series. Beating the heat that hangs between the buildings is a challenge I bravely accept every year. Since Belgian weather is quite unpredictable, some guidelines on how to survive are very welcome.
The basics are easy: keep hydrated, avoid the sun, find a place to cool off, keep calm etcetera.
Dressing is quite another challenge since in this country you (or I, since I can only speak for myself) are never really prepared for this.
What I noted throughout the years:
Step 1: avoid wearing black.
Step 2: choose light fabrics, by all means avoid heavy fabrics like velvet.
Step 3: opt for short haircuts in summer, not only in winter.
I guess I failed again.
Maybe next year?
